The People's Artist Contest [EDIT] Hello my beautiful Madness Lovers. As you know, I was traveling and upon my return things got a bit hectic. Finally I have time to bring you a newsletter full of the great stuff that's happening. First off, I was participating on a contest held by the one and only Johnny Depp for a spot at being "the People's Artist", which came as a pleasant surprise. As I was winning, an email reached my inbox asking about my citizenship situation which led to me being disqualified from the run. However, the response from you all was so massive and overwhelming, it really showed me the love I get from the community we've built, and that was beyond any expectation I could have had. As a token of my appreciation I have a little gift for all of you further below, so keep reading for more info. Spring in California As I mentioned, I was away on a trip to Northern California, hiking and enjoying a well deserved RnR. But I also had the chance to participate of the Arcata's Farmer's Market for 2 months, showcasing my jewelry, including the newest collection "Soul Healers" (more below), and I gotta say it was a great experience to be back out there with friends and colleagues, showcasing art and sharing joy with the people of Humboldt County. Upon my return to Japan I found myself inspired and wrote an small poem called "Empty Home" for which I made the video I share with you today. It is quite personal and deep and I really hope you like it. Exhibit in Tokyo As part of the work I've been doing in Japan, I have secured a spot at a group exhibit in the great city of Tokyo, in none other than the Metropolitan Art Museum. This is a great opportunity for me and surely it will open doors to more great things. I will be showcasing four illustrations from different stages of my work in order to really display a broad perspective of my evolution. The exhibit is from June 16th to the 21st and is open to the general public. I will be in-situ so if you pop about, come through! Soul Healers - The Newest Collection The latest jewelry collection is called "Soul Healers" and it is a treat! I am so proud and happy of how this collection turned out and it is already available at the store for your choosing pleasure. It has a total of 13 pieces (only 10 available at the moment of writing this) and plays with complex styles and designs. Among the stones you can find in the collection we have Labradorites, Jaspelites, Crinoid Fossils, Heundalites among many more beautiful and powerful gems. Surely you'll fall in love with them like I did. Therapeutic Rhymes from a Voluntary Exile While all of this is happening, I keep writing and creating stories. Right now I'm actively working on my next literary project called "Therapeutic Rhymes from a Voluntary Exile". A poetry book filled with sketch illustrations. I have started releasing some of these poems with voiceover in cool short videos like the one above on @LoganMWolf. The format for this book will be a fresh new take for me and no doubt you'll find it interesting once it's complete. I expect to release it sometime late this summer or early fall. The First Open Studio Show This February 7th, I’ll be hosting the first Open Studio at the Wolf's Art Den in Japan. We’ve invited the entire town of Takao, along with Hashitate and some other locations in Kaga city. It’s an honor to finally share with the community the space we’ve built for everyone’s creative output. While it’s expected to be a short day with everyone, it’s truly important to communicate my wish to create an open art space for the community. Eventually, I’ll be hosting these Open Studio Shows more frequently, inviting fellow artists and art enthusiasts from the Ishikawa region and beyond. This space is meant to inspire and unite those whose artistic and creative voices demand expression. So feel free to come over when the time feels right for you. Alternatively, you can book a visit through this link . New Collections To welcome the new year with great energy, I’ve released two new macramé jewelry collections. They’re already available for your enjoyment at the gallery and for purchase through the store. The first is Vined Family , a collection of necklaces and bracelets inspired by the natural and organic beauty found in the Japanese wilderness. The second is Winter Magic , a bracelet collection that draws inspiration from the snowy season and its magical beauty. These are just the first collections to come early this year. Interacting with You We continue to build smiles and share happiness among you all, thanks to the Monthly Story Contest on Instagram. Last month’s winners already have their portraits, and you can see them all in the corresponding gallery . This month’s winners have already been picked, and I’m already working on those portraits. There’s no rest for the madman! These graphite and ink portraits are surely making the path a fun one. I really enjoy doing these, but more than that, I love seeing everyone getting involved and wanting to be a part of this side of theMadness. Don’t miss out! 2026 and What It Brings By late February, I’ll be heading to California for my annual hike extravaganza, and I’ll be away until late April. That doesn’t mean I’ll lose connection with you all, but it does mean that the newsletters might take a small hiatus. We’ll see how that goes. During the trip, I’ll be seeking inspiration for the new works I have in mind for this year, including literary works, illustrations, and more jewelry pieces. In May and June, I’ve secured a spot at a group exhibit in Tokyo. This year, I’m working on getting more exhibits and shows all around. That includes other countries as well, but for now, this is all I’m ready to say about this matter. Soon, more will come. Then in June, I’ll be going to the Dominican Republic for a small visit. While I still have nothing prepared for that trip, I know something will come up. I have many other things under consideration for the year, and as they become concrete plans, I’ll be sharing them with you all. A class for beginners, for those who would like to entangle their fingers in the thread of madness, cultivate patience, endurance, and learn about the gratitude of accomplishment. All the basics of macramé covered in this course. A total of 12 sessions, two hours each, twice a week for six weeks of undivided one-on-one attention towards your learning. Or you can also bring your friends and make a group of up to four participants and join the path of the knots together. (The price of the class is per person, per session) This can be either on my workshop or at your place for a fee, dependent to your location. If you want to have an online experience, then I will set up a package with the materials and ship them your way.
